This Privacy Policy applies to TimeUp Lock, an Android application published by Appmist. It explains what information the app uses, what it does not collect, and why specific Android permissions are required.
Appmist creates simple, privacy-first Android apps designed to solve everyday problems. TimeUp Lock is built to provide a simple phone handoff experience for parents and families without unnecessary accounts, tracking, or data collection.
TimeUp Lock is designed to work without collecting personal information. The app uses local device functionality to run timers, keep the timer active in the background, and trigger automatic locking when time expires.
TimeUp Lock uses Android Accessibility Service only to automatically lock the screen when the selected timer expires. The service is not used to read personal messages, monitor typing, capture passwords, record screen content, or collect user activity for analytics.
Notification permission is used only to show timer status, inform the user that the timer is running, and notify the parent when time expires.
Foreground Service is used to keep the timer active and reliable while the app runs in the background. This helps the timer continue when other apps are open, when the screen is off, or when the phone is idle.
TimeUp Lock uses on-device functionality only to provide core product behavior such as timer selection, background timer operation, notifications, and automatic screen locking at the end of the selected timer.
Appmist does not sell personal data. TimeUp Lock does not use advertising networks or analytics services for tracking user behavior. The app is designed to operate locally on the device without cloud-based user data sharing.
Because TimeUp Lock is designed to avoid unnecessary personal data collection, it reduces privacy risk by minimizing what is handled in the first place. Device authentication such as PIN, pattern, password, or biometric unlock remains managed by the device itself.
TimeUp Lock is designed for parents and guardians who choose to use it when handing over a device. The app does not require children to create an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
TimeUp Lock is designed without advertising, tracking, or account systems. If you download the app through Google Play, Google Play may apply its own policies and services outside of the app itself. Please review Google Play terms and policies separately where relevant.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if TimeUp Lock changes in a way that affects privacy, permissions, or data handling. Any updated version will be published on this page.
